How an estate is worked through
The first step is cataloging, done in front of you rather than in a back room. Material gets grouped: bullion and common coins that trade on metal, and collector coins that are read individually for year, mint, and condition. Nothing disappears into an average.
What you receive is a written offer with the groups broken out and the reasoning attached. Accept it and payment is same day by cash or wire. Decline it and everything goes home with you, along with an appraisal you are welcome to shop.
